resolution centre query?

Hi,
Had a case open for a while now.
I sold a computer game for a candaian Wii - clearly said in the lising that this was for a Canadian machine and to make sure your machine is compatible before bidding.
Someone won the auction. I sent the game, a few days later had an 'item not as described case opened' against me saying that it won't play on this machine.
In the resolution centre, I was the only one who attempted to make any sense. I asked them if there machine was actually Canadian et. They never answered.
In fact, all of their messges were either completely empty (no text at all), or just mixture of random punctuations!
ANyway, email from ebay this morning saying that they've reviewed the case, and surprise surprise, they've ruled in favour of the buyer.
Now, they have also taken money from my account and refunded him, but what about the item that he still has? No mention of when I get that back at all. In fact, it says, 'Case closed'.
Im a little confused.
Cheers

Now that's odd because yesterday I had a conversation with their online support and specifically asked if ebay finds in favour of the buyer does the money automatically get repaid to them and what happens to the item. They told me that no money is repaid to the buyer until I have the item back. Seems they don't even know their own rules!0

Sounds like it could be a no fault refund. Hopefully, they have just held your funds for the duration of the case and will release them back to your account later.
What does the email say? Anything about you having to do nothing further etc?0 -
''A case has been opened because the buyer has an issue with an item purchased from you. We've reviewed the case and have decided to issue the buyer with a full refund of £9.35. The refund includes the purchase price plus original postage & packaging. The hold on this PayPal transaction has been removed.
This case is now closed. You aren't required to reimburse the buyer or eBay, and this case will not be counted in your seller performance evaluation.''
I'm not required to reimburse the buyer, it says. Is that because they've already done it?
It's confusing.
To be honest, i'm more annoyed about the fact that they won the case without ever replying to any messages or ever actually stringing togther a sentence in the resol.lution centre. All of their 'messages' (which I assume Ebay read to make their decision on the case?) look like emoticons, such as '';,).''0 -

Yes. Ebay have refunded the buyer. You should get the 'held' money released back to your PayPal account.0 -
Why didn't they have to send the game back before getting a refund?
Do they get to keep teh game and the money now?0 -

Yes, but it is paypal's money they have, not yours.
Incidentally, as we are required to list against the catalogue in many cases did you do that when you listed as that will default to the UK version?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. So paypal have refunded them out of their own money, and I'm no worse off?
If so, I guess i'll settle for that. The buyer has had a result too. A perfectly working game that he can sell for a tenner, and a refund!
I was more annoyed that they'd won the 'case' despite just posting blank messages or messages with a couple of punctuations and no words!
I didn't use the catalogue listing. Just done it myself, but clearly stated that it was for a Canadian machine, and to check compatibility before bidding.
They just didn't bother to read the listing, which does seem very common nowadays....0
