oh how i sympathise with you! dd now 5 had this really bad and the first 12 weeks were hell sick everywhere constant crying eventually we were prescribed gaviscon and it did help with the sickness and what i presume was heart burn, also took her for cranial osteopathy which imo worked really well too

For dd now 18m at the first signs she had of having reflux (crying loads when lying down and being sick LOADS) i switched her bottles to Dr Browns - expensive but WELL worth the money, i tried omneo comfort milk but to be honest made no difference to her and was really difficult to make up - in the end started giving her gaviscon (against my GPs advice) and within 2 days saw an improvement, then went back to GP and he started prescribing it

the bottles are well worth it and keeping her sat up lots helped too, when she layed back the pain was clear

not much advice but stick with it, in a few weeks when they can have baby rice you will notice an improvement

we have used dr browns since she was born. the thing that i'm finding the hardest is that shes only taking a max of 3oz per feed, sometimes less and is putting on little weight, shes seems to want it but just to struggle with it

sometimes though little and often might work for her, if she is still waking 2+ times a night she might be hungry but if she sleeps all night, maybe just give her 3ozs every 2-3hours, my dd would only drink 6ozs every 4-5 hours never went on to full bottles, she is tiny now on 25 centile eats like a sparrow,

have you tried changing her milk - sma is supposed to make babies colicky, and of course your dd is getting to the age where they can start with that, does she like being on her tummy during the day, as this can relieve wind?

    Hi there

My DD suffered terribly from silent reflux which was very scary (looked like she was having a fit) so I totally understand.

Luckily it was totally resolved once she was weaned so there is a light at the end of the tunnel :) If you are finding the powder does not work try asking your GP or HV for a thickener for her milk.

    Here are a few tips:
    • Do all the nappy changing before a feed (I know they dont always parcipate in this ;))
    • Keep her upright for at least 30 mins after a feed
    • Try raising the top end of her matress by about 45 degree's (where is the symbol for that!!) with a pillow or folded up cover underneath.

Basically this is all to let gravity help with the problem and keep that food in her tummy.

I hope this helps somewhat and good luck with you little one :):)

Hi moo, ((((hugs))))) to you & baby.
I would second all the advice given here, DD1 had the same and that is exactly what I did and it really made a difference.
She is now a "robust" ( how pc is that?) 9 yr old.
It does get better, now you know the problem, you can find ways to work it out.
