Good idea. Most pre-paid cards are recognised as a credit card by the card processor.0 -

A credit card doesn't get people into debt, people get themselves into debt, often through sheer stupidity.
I carry a credit card, but never owe more than about £50 on it at a time, and pay it off IN FULL!!! :money:
Yes, it gives me the MEANS to go and spend £15000 in the course of a day, but do I? No!0 -
Ok hands up, maybe I have gone overboard with the whole human rights thing admittedly. I just don't like to see inequality in society, so when I see one person being able to get a room for a knock down price and another(on a like for like basis) not being able to just because of a 'card' when at the end of the day both parties can pay for the darned thing, it makes my blood boil! Ok rant over and thanks for all your comments .0

There is no "inequality" here!
Go get a credit card, pay for your room and enjoy the discounted hotel room.
When you get the statement pay it off in full and cancel the card.0 -

Correct for Scotland.0
