Get the hosepipe out and spray him with it while screaming 'fire fire' Plead ignorance and say you thought it was children because no one would be inconsiderate enough to light a bonfire during the day while their neighbours had clean laundry out.
That is a classic! I will have to remember that one!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Still not really Flying, just fluttering slightly in the breeze; but we put two recycling sacks out again this week. Goodness knows where all the carp is coming from - I think Mr LW is actually making a concerted effort to sort out the loft.:A I know for a fact I'd have a field day if only I could get up there.;)
Highlight of my day yet to come - Mr LW is going to help me wash my hair tonight.:AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Good afternoon
I am in late this week, thanks Dusty for the lists.
I spent yesterday morning at my mum's with occupational health (?). They are assessing what needs to be done to allow step dad to come home. The result is a lot of furniture moving and decluttering for my mum (her house is clean & tidy, but she has a lot of 'stuff'). She needs to swap her bedroom with SD's, and make space for a hospital bed, hoist & commode. She had some old bulky items that need moving (my great great grandmother's chest of drawers is enormous - about 1850's I believe) but Mum will not let it go! I have made her promise that she will only sort out stuff & is not to attempt to move anything
DH tried to save our pennies by giving the dog a haircut yesterday!! He looks so bad :rotfl:Dog was taken to the vets this morning for his booster jabs, so he is not having a good week!
I have been chasing people that haven't paid me  2 items on ebay not yet paid for, and 2 invoices for work not yet paidAs I am the only one earning at the moment I don't know how people expect me to feed their kids!!
DW is now miraculously working :j:j After not using it for about 4 weeks, I decided to put it on a clean cycle to remind myself of the noises it was making and what it was/wasn't doing so I could phone up an engineer - and it worked!! So DW has put on this morning, and the cusion covers are in the WM. DH is about to take the dog for a walk, and I am going to check the lists and try to cross off some stuff.
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them, and also a little message to HighlandLass - PACK YOUR HOSPITAL BAG!!:D

Ouchy.... hope the bruising goes down quickly. You could have a fancy dress party for your birthday and all wear masks
Now there's a thought.....annoyingly it's even more swollen today round my eye; contact lenses impossible and glasses tricky as eye keeps watering which means I keep having to take them off to mop up. Bored of it now! Yes horses have very hard heads and sharp teeth. Nurse said steri-strips should be on for 7 days; I think once the swelling goes down it will be fine, it's just that swelling stretches everything they've taped together, yeuch.
Anyway apart from sitting at pc with everything enlarged so I can see it, wm is on, birds fed and when I've finished coffee and surveys I'll do some gentle flying.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thanks. I think now the "excitement" has died down (hospital couldn't believe they had no track of me as I've never actually been to hospital before), I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself. It's uncomfortable but not seriously painful and it will be gone in a few days. They didn't think it would scar - not that I'm bothered, when they mentioned 'plastic' doctors I thought I'd rather have liposuction please.........
Ha ha at least if we were meeting up you'd have no trouble recognising me!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
