in Credit cards
Hi all,
Thinking of getting one of these for cheap foreign cash withdrawals (currently have a Santander Zero, but will probably change to a 123 to get some decent instant access saving interest!). Anyway, it all sounds good = costing only about £1 per month interest for each £100 withdrawn, and no fees. BUT I found this link:
consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?363615-Halifax-Clarity-Card-Please-read-and-help-me-make-the-OFT-aware-of-this-issue!
where someone ran into problems with credit limit being lowered when they withdrew cash. Has this happened to anyone else? I will use the card for purchases too, but will definitely want to withdraw a fair amount of cash too (this year going to Mexico).
Thanks
PnP

Not had this happen to me although I use a mixture of taking cash out and purchases rather than just cash out.0

Not happened to me either even though I've had a few hols when I only drew cash. Can understand them being concerned over UK cash withdrawals though as it would look more like a 'last resort'.
Note that max cash advance balance over each month is half whatever credit limit you get, although you can keep this down by paying some/all during your hols.0
