Hi. We have our car up for sale with Autotrader and have received a text from seller-autotrader.com offering us a reasonable cash amount; visit their website, enter code to access offer and click to accept.
Whilst we would love to sell, alarm bells are ringing. We can't find much detail of the on the web - does anyone know anything of this business. Is it a scam? Am not sure, how the scam would work if it is but would love to hear from anyone who knows more about them...

It is a scam- stay well away from anything like this or anyone offering to sell your car for you. Only deal with a human voice (no texts) and someone that will turn up in person with cash.

Thanks..found out from looking at those, that once you click accept, there is a £60 charge for them to come out to collect car/give you your cash. Which presumably they just don't turn up and pocket the £60. Sigh..I knew it was too good to be true
