Well, I used to place my tape recorder on the floor next to my radio, so that I could record the Top40 on a Sunday afternoon

Audio or Video?
For Audio, StreamRipper worked for me. I've not tried it with video.
(For the record: No I'm not using it for piracy. I sometimes do live DJ sets online and since the software I use won't record and stream simultaneously, if I want to keep a copy of the set I have to record it from the streaming server)0 -

I started off doing that when I got my first cassette recorder around 1972, but then got high tech and put a cable between the headphone socket on the radio and the line in socket on the recorder. Kids these days don't know they're born, with their digital recorders and downloads!0 -
Audio? If it's BBC radio then Radio Downloader or for others Audacity0
