My pro music computer is dated with Cubase SX3 and I need to update my Internet PC to cope with serious photo video editing. Lightroom 4 is what I will be working with.
Basically (and I am avoiding Ebuyer like the plague due to appealing reviews on trustpiolot) will something like this do the job?

Build one yourself, you'll get the spec you want for what you need.
Lightroom and music making can be CPU and Memory intensive. Depends on your budget though. What is your budget?0 -
Between £400-£500. I would certainly build one myself but don't I need to know what is compatible with what ?0
-
The only real thing that needs to be checked is memory compatibility with the mainboard.
Do you need keyboard/mouse and operating system and what about a screen or is it just the base unit you want?0 -
Just the base unit. I have the rest :-)0

The one you found is actually quite competitive and it also does come with a 3yr warranty plus they quote for an OS and I don't
Mine comes out about £20 more but I've changed/upgraded parts to better than what they have provided in their build.0 -
Ok, so the Operating system will be around £80 and I want Windows 7, not 8. Do you think AMD is better than Intel's i5 or 7 for what I want to do ?0
-
For serious music and film editing £400 is nowhere near enough.
Your going to need to know what you are doing and the knowledge to build your own. Something like this
