Sending to Canada

I sold an item weighing 1500g to Canada on ebay last night, I don't have a problem with sending it but could anyone help make sure I am calculating the postage cost right. I have had a look on royal mail's website and it's saying it will be £31.40 to send Airsure Small Packets or £31.30 to send International Signed for Small Packets. Is that right ? And which would be the best way ? The value of the item is £200.
Thanks, looie

Did he pay significantly less than that, because he's going to get stung by customs...

If you do end up using RM, the Canadian PO is incredibly fussy. They want the sender's address top left and the customs declaration on the front of the parcel. Parcels have apparently been sent back if their rules are not complied with.

If you are using Paypal and want seller protection you need a signature for sales over £150. Assuming your item is eligible, you should use a courier, RM don't guaranteee tracking but if you must use them, then use ISF for the signature, hoping they get it.

thanks for the replies, I've had a look on interparcel.com and it looks like it will be about £30.

The person who has bought the item has no feedback and only registered on the day they bought it. I know I should have set the buyer preferences etc but I never got round to doing it.

Like I said I've never sold to Canada before and now having time to think about it I am feeling a little anxious ! Am I leaving myself open for trouble.
