Proof of deposit with nationwide

I'm not trying to hide anything. It's just going to be another thing to get hold of apart from everything else in these mortgage applications.
It should be very simple if you haven't received paper statements. Access your account online (usually why you don't receive them) and print them off.0 -
You should expect to evidence everything with a mortgage application, - income, bank account activity, address. Do you think they're just going to hand over 100s of thousands for nothing. Be prepared for anything they COULD ask from you.An opinion is just that..... An opinion0

Are nationwide likely to ask for proof of deposit given the deposit amount is only 5% or just the solicitor?0
-
Nationwide will normally only ask for proof of deposit if it is over £50,000.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks. What about solicitors? How much for them to ask?0

Entirely down to them, they are responsible for the money laundering side of things, so whatever it takes for them to be happy.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ok, definitely no money laundering going on here, but deposit is very small (just under 10000) so hope it won't be another thing to do in this house buying process.0
-
either way either the solicitor or nationwide or both will ask for something in relation to the deposit.
I think i've already said this before but your obsession with this is sounding beyond dodgy!!An opinion is just that..... An opinion0 -
No, there's definitely nothing dodgy, and I'm offended that you have drawn such a conclusion from a first time buyer who doesn't understand the house using process and is keen to move in. Think it's understandable...0

asking a question and being obsessed is 2 different things. Youve asked this question over and over again and got answers. You've come an open forum so prepare to be offended if you easily are. I too have recently bought a property but stop being paranoid about the deposit. If they ask, they ask end of if there's nothing more to it. STOP WORRYING!!!An opinion is just that..... An opinion0
