Does anyone know if nationwide will require proof of deposit for a FTB?
Also if they do in what format. I have money in about 5 different accounts.

They'd probably ask to see the latest statements for all 5 accounts.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Im a first time buyer and recently received my mortgage offer from Nationwide. They did not ask me to provide any proof of deposit. 90% LTV.
However you're solictor will ask for proof of deposit and you must also supply 6 months back statements to show the build up of the deposit. This is to cover money laundering regulations.0 -
I routinely request evidence of deposit and gifted deposit letters from the donor. If the lender asks for it, I have it. If they don't, no harm done.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks.
3-4 months ago I changed my bank and closed that account. I joined my partners account which she has had for some years. Will it be a problem?0 -
never asked me for it, but the solicitor did so get whatever evidence you can just in case.An opinion is just that..... An opinion0

No. I hardly used it for 3 months, and never got paper statements for some time.0

I understand you're advising me to do so just in case but do you seriously think they'll be needed?0

I'm merely suggesting that its better to be prepared. As your solicitor can ask for whatever documents they deem necessary to satisfy themselves as to the source.0
