I am switching suppliers on Tuesday. I know I am in debit with my current supplier. Roughly how many days after this does the final amount (the debit balance) will be taken from my bank account?

Just need to know as need to transfer funds from another account to pay it. I have put in the meter figures on my current supplier's website about 14 days ago and know roughly give take £5 how much the final balance will be.

You will find the date for the DD on the final bill. It will be at least 10 days after the bill got raised.

Check on-line if the bill hasn't been issued already.

P.S. I just realize the change hasn't taken place yet. Supply an up-to-date reading on Tuesday to both companies.

...but as to when the final bill is issued - two week, two months, six months, next year. It is an entirely unreliable and unpredictable business. Shamefully.
