I'd recommend using cashplus tbh. They don't have a high street presence but have many places accepting cashplus deposits. You can also add the creditbuilder option and manage your account online with no fuss

I have no problems managing my finances with a Barclay's basic account whilst I'm still undischarged. I get a text from Barclay's every Friday with my last 5 transactions showing and end of week balance.

You can also go to a Barclay's ATM and get a mini statement.:D

i have a problem with barclays being a VERY unethical bank and i would rather go with co-op. actually i have now got app to open cashminder tomorrow! yay!!
