Travelodge help

Ok so I am sending my gf and her best friend away for a few days a surprise next week and on Saturday they will be stopping in the travelodge at London Euston, however I have just had a thought, is she going to need the card used to make payment for checking in? They also wont be checking in until about 9:30pm (its only a stay overnight for Eurostar next morning) will this cause a problem?
The accomodation is in her name, she just wont have the payment card as obviously that will be with me. I know they have an express check-in there but not sure if payment card will be required!

She won't need payment card for checking in at desk they never ask me for it just ask my name and address don't know about self check in never used it.
I've checked in at 10 30 pm and never have problem just with the heating being on full blast very hot when get there sometimes not all the time.0 -
If the room is already paid for then the receptionist will just ask for a name and 1st line of address.
I've only used the express check-in twice and both times there was a human on hand to help as they messed up! I can't remember if I needed my CC or not, but the human checked me in anyway. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

If you've already paid in advance, the name the booking was made in is all that will be required at check in
. If she's at all worried about checking in as late as 9.30pm she could always call the hotel the day before to let them know what time she expects to arrive. 0 -
As it is a late check in I would ring the travelodge earlier on the day and confirm you (your friend) will be arriving at 9.30pm. I have read before that Travelodge tend to overbook in case of "no shows" and Saturday night in a London Travelodge will be popular.0

We have just stayed in the Travelodge at Kings cross ready for an early start on the Eurostar. Didn't arrive at the hotel until 10pm and had no problem checking in. You don't need the card you paid with, just name and address.0

You don't speak to anyone in travelodges these days. You go to the machine put your postcode in and are given the room key.
Your room is kept all night so late checkin doesn't matter. I've checked in at 3am with no problems! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
