Chimney reduction

Following on from my previous thread, we are also looking at getting some work done to the chimneys....

We have 2 of which are on the external wall which need some repair - one is leaning very slightly... we were thinking of having them rebuilt, but to save costs may have them reduced to just above the start of the roof (a number of neighbours have done this) as the fireplaces are blocked up and aren't being used / no plans to use.

Again, any idea of cost would be appreciated. Common sense indicates that we whuld get the work done at the same time as the fascias in view of scaffolding costs etc.

A rough idea of the chimney size is as the attachment. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-33138844.html

Any help would be welcome
