help please ebay/small claims court.

Looking for some advice on where I stand with a buyer.

I sold 2 items on Ebay in January. I accidently sent them the he wrong people, the one was make up the other baby shoes.

now the one who wanted the make up emailed me saying that they had received some baby shoes but no make up. I asked her if she could return them to me for a refund she then said they hadn't arrived yet.

Fast forward a few weeks and she has denied all knowledge of the baby shoes and has been demanding payment to a new paypal account as she know longer has the old one. I told her that I would not do that as I would not be covered if she were to open a dispute. I asked her to either do item not as described (as the shoes were not the make up described in listing) or put in an item not received dispute so that all transactions/refunds would be done through ebay/paypal. She kept refusing this and became aggressive and started making threats to my personal email account. I informed her I would contact the police if she carried on with the threats. she then reckons she had contacted them but they would not get invlved as I had not refused her a refund.

Today she has emailed saying she is taking me to a small claims court and calling me a crook and she has been posting stuff about me that is untrue on her ebay account page.

I have again told her I have done nothing wrong I have always agreed to a refund but told her it had to be done through paypal and had to be requested from her with the original transaction as I do not feel I could trust her to say she has not been refunded and I was told I would not be covered by paypal if paid to a different account.

Question is where do I stand?

I have emailed paypal but they have said due to length of time I can not refund the original transaction from my end and that she needed to do it, I have sent her this info but she doesn't understand as her reply was 'you liar I have a new account, I've got an email and I have not had no email. you crook i can't wait to see you in court and I got a really good strong case'

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

How much are we talking about? It really wouldn't be worth anyone taking you to court for under £100, whatever the circumstances, it's too costly.

I don't understand about posting on Ebay account page, that seems odd.

Otherwise it's all hot air. You aren't being taken to court, so don't worry about it. Restate your original offer and cease correspondence, (tell them if you like that it is your final word and you will be happy to continue to court if they wish).
