My thanks to Boots opticians

The arm fell off my Specsavers glasses today in a town which did not have a Specsavers branch. I took the glasses into Boots opticians and they fixed them for free. They didn't have to, and its not often in modern life that this sort of thing happens, so my thanks to them.

I have to say my local Boots Opticians is ace too!
My Dad had a stroke 3 years ago, which left him paralysed down his left side and with severe vascular dementia.
Since then he has got through countless pairs of glasses, often breaking them several times, before they give up the ghost completely.
His opticians was the local Boots branch, and they have repaired where they can (sometimes more than once a pair).
They have also found me some cheap frames at £25 a pair last time including the lenses.
They had to do the last pair with a photocopy of the prescription they obtained from the home, since the glasses the home sourced where way more expensive.
As he in on about his tenth pair in under 12 months, this is a real saving for us, and the girls are always so friendly and helpful.
In fact I have just realised exactly how good they have been, and think I will pop them a box of choccies to say thanks on my next visit!:T
