Bra Straps slipping down

Here's an old dress-making tip.
You sew a small piece of tape into the shoulder of a garment, across the seam so no stitches are visible. One end of the tape is stitched down and the other has a press-stud attached, to one side of the tape and the other to the shoulder seam of the garment.
When you dress you slip the tape under the bra strap and secure by fastening the press-stud.
A bit fiddly but it works.
It was the answer in the 60's to all those Mary Quant dresses with the cutaway shoulders.0 -
If you look up "bra strap pads" on Amazon you'll see little clear or skin-coloured pads with a grippy surface that you can pop on any bra straps. They cost about £4 - £5.50 a pair, but you only need one pair.0

I get this problem too as I'm very petite - the straps are probably slightly too long for me even at their shortest!
Otherwise, I think it probably is a case of it simply being the wrong size as others have said.
These rubber strips being suggested sound good, I might have to give them a go some timeSPC '21 #0750 -
The real problem is that modern bras aren't "engineeringly correct" . The straps SHOULD be directly over the nipple but in modern bras are much further to the outside. This means that any weight is loaded on the outside of the shoulders rather than the centre. That is fine for bras for an evening out (short term) but not so good for a bra that you are going to wear from 7am to midnight. It may give you uplift but you may be better off with tissues stuck in the lower outer sides of your bras and straps that actually work properly. If you have any very old bras out there (check your loft) you can check what I say. All modern bras try to do is give you cleavage, which is great, but our backs and necks need to be able to survive too. Even M & S solution to my problem was smaller bra size (34) & bra extensions (several inches worth) as any larger size put my boobs under my arms. Why oh why do they have to make me feel like I am the odd one out when I KNOW I can't be the only one.0

Just found sticky straps at Matalan 24 for £2 they are quite long so today I cut one in half and it worked just as well, You stick it on the inside of the bra strap I took my bra off caredfully and have managed to get 3 days out of it. At last no forever pulling my straps up. :j0

I have the exact same problem. It doesn't matter where I buy them from they always slip down. I have been measured in numerous place inc bravissmo & M&S. I'm 5ft and a 38E. The other problem I have is that I tighten the straps to stop the falling down and then the edge of the wire is in my armpit as it lifts my bra up too. Quite painful if worn all day. The ones I do get to fit, the straps always fall down so its a bit of a circle!0

I get that, the wire in the arm pit.0
