Does anyone remember 12 months ago when III started charging some kind of inactivity fee on dormant accounts?
Many people had such accounts but had either never used them or had used them but no longer used them.
We had a round of people being debited inactivity fees when they didnt really have to pay it.
At the time,i too was debited and i disputed it,was refunded and assured my account had been terminated.
Checked bank account today and lo and behold another £20 debited in favour if III.
If you have had dealings with this lot, i suggest you check your bank account.,

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Yes, they told me there was a error at the time and something did not get closed properly as per my request. They told me at the time that they fixed this and they would not be debiting me again and the account is now properly closed.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep a eye on this.0 -
isn't it just your standard £20 quarterly fee? there's nothing untoward with this - it was introduced last year. You get it as trading credit.0

Every quarter, without fail, the same issue pops up here. I just wonder how many ex-customers out there don't even realise they are being charged.
OP, and anyone else charged yet again, please raise a formal complaint, followed by the Ombudsman. It seems the only hope there is of III getting their act together is forcing them to pay £500 for the privilege of a slap in the face by the FOS.0 -

oh i see - it's a closed account? thats terrible!
hope you get it sorted.0 -
I did but according to the OP it's happening again.0

I was assured my account had been closed last year and here i am with a phantom DD for £20 again. What right have they to levy charges against my bank account without my permission..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). None at all, and if they do the same to me I'd be lodging a formal complaint.0

I have an email dated July 2012 stating that they have cancelled my redundant and unused account. Having waded through my bank statements i now note that these buffoons have debited £20 every month since July. I further learn that my bank tells me they cannot stop these debits. One does begin to wonder whos money it really is. Mine,III's or my bank. Surely I am the one who decides who gets paid what out of my account. I have written a letter of complaint to III to try and final kill this matter.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). The bank are now liable too, once you tell them not to take any more money from the debit card.0
