Any ideas how much to replace toilet external waste pipe?

Hi, I'm getting a quote to replace the external soil pipe that goes from toilet and into ground (and extends to full height of house with vent at top). The work will involve digging out the concrete at base and poss replacing the drain thing (sorry) that the pipe goes into - as this too has a leak.

Does anyone know an approximate cost to do this work? Just want to make sure I don't get ripped off.

Many thanks for any help.

We did this ourselves (well my husband did). It did not cost much - approx £200. Our old soil pipe was inside through bathroom to kitchen then out. Its now all outside.
  • Thanks lil_old_me so I'm guessing if it cost you £200 and you did it yourself we're talking about £4-500 to get someone in to do it??

    Thanks
