Applying for a DRO

Morning all, i am in the process of getting a DRO, the thing i would like to know is, i am aware that i have to open a new bank account when i go to do it should i tell them what im doing?:question: as in applying for a DRO.

    no, they dont need to know, just make sure you are applying for a basic account. which bank are you heading to?

    i am going to try Barclays. as my bank will definatley close my account, i currently bank with Natwest

    Thanks for your help , called into Barclays today and they will accept me (thought it best to tell them ) and they said it will not be a problem :-)

    I changed to Barclays when I got my DRO and i'm always honest about having it. People appreciate this. When I had to find a new house to rent I had to tell agents then and everyone said that honesty is the best policy. Best of luck with your new debt free future x x x

    Just a quick update , went to Barclays yesterday and they were really helpful told them i was applying for a DRO, and they said it isn't a problem :-)
