Letting insurance company know you're trading...

House contents and buildings insurance renewal time just came round again....
This year I became an eBay TRS and am classed as a business seller. I sell toys and have stock at my house.
As soon as I was asked if I was running a business from home and I answered yes company after company just didn't want to know.
If a company was still willing to offer cover answering yes to the next question: Do you have customers calling at your house? Was a real deal breaker.
In the end I did get cover but had to say that anyone collecting items would do so at the door. Or I might simply want to show the item working.
Looks as though I will have to put No Collecting in Person on my listings.
The thing is that I can get extra sales by showing people other related items I have for sale and can't do that on the doorstep.
Wondered if other eBay business sellers were just keeping quiet?
There are people on eBay who sell thousands of items without registering as a business and offer collection in person. Wonder if a claim for theft would be rejected if they hadn't told their insurance company?
Any thoughts?

To late. Insurance companies share data amongst themselves.0 -
Not big enough to warrant renting storage space.
The thing is that it would be quite easy to lie but in the event of a claim would they pay up? As a business seller on eBay your address is there for all to see...0
