I think I just about have my head round ISA's now, except for one thing. If I open a new ISA, and am transferring from an existing ISA, does my transferred amount count as the minimum deposit, or does that have to be additional?

Your transfer in will count as the minimum deposit
Remember you should get your new provider to do the transfer for you, don't try to do it yourself!0
