Google Chrome Menus

If you're using Google Chrome then you probably noticed with the latest update they've forced a change onto users that alters the style of context and shortcut menus to white and increases the spacing to make things easier for tablet users.

Yet of course most of us aren't using tablets and don't want this. Thankfully at the moment there's still a way back to the previous more compact menus, by adding this command line option when you start Google Chrome:

--disable-new-menu-style

Thanks for the heads-up. Though to be honest I hadn't really noticed (I don't use context menus that much - most things are done via gestures), and even so the new menus aren't that bad. :)

I can however confirm that the suggestion does work to revert to the original menus. :)

Another thing ... if you have folders of bookmarks configured on the Bookmarks bar then these menus also have wider spacing. I'm just about the check whether this same switch fixes them also - back in a jiffy! :)

Edit - yes it does. :)
