Why do you need a code reader for a Ford, the majority come with one fitted as standard, Google "Ford dashboard codes"0
-
Dashboard codes are useless. Shows a tiny handful of codes and sometimes it shows faults when there are none.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Apart from read/clear DTCs on the dashboard, some of these Bluetooth are are to do/view some parameter settings, like disable tpms, disable drls etc, if only you loaded the correct soft app0

The ELM327 is very good with Android imo0

If the information is relevant then why does it matter when it was posted?0 -
because this thread was dragged up by a potential spammer. 2 ancient threads opened on OBD software.. Keep watching..Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

If this thread does pop up in a search, it's worth remembering that OBD is _only_ a fairly limited subset of engine codes, mostly emission-related. It isn't exhaustive, and doesn't even start to cover climate/transmission/body control/ABS/airbags etc etc etc. For those, a manufacturer-specific reader very much is needed.0
