Am I the only one here feeling a little suspicious of all the single post MSEers recommending viaaddress??0

I too am more than a little suspicious of all the single posters in this thread.
I think the best thing is to avoid using any of these services.
But then I have an advantage, my brother lives in the US.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Here is what happened with myus.
I bought a cosmetics from Amazon(USA)made by La Prairie and sent it to my suite in myus and myus is supposed to send it to my country.
The price of La Prairie cosmetics is 238USD.
At 4am, myus sent me an email saying they received it and needed further reviw
At 6am, myus sent me an email saying they are going to dispose it because it is against FDA reg.
During that time I was sleeping as others did and had no chances to reply.
At 10am I sent an email to myus saying it is totally unreasonable to dispose La Prairie since Amazom(USA) sold it and La Prairie is sold all over the world at famous department stores.
I also asked help to Amazon registered seller and transfered seller's message that it is not right disposing it.
Later Myus asked address to return the item and I sent return address received from seller.
The funny thing is that the return address is already on the package Myus received.
And finally Myus sent message that they diposed my La Prairie.
Myus disposed my 238USD La Prairie because it is against FDA just after I sent return address as they asked.0 -
Find out what scam happened again ! Ordered iPhone 6s Plus 128GB Rose Gold device and was successfully delivered to the myUS warehouse. When they shipped out, I received a belt in the box. iPhone was missing out from box. The best part is : The box was opened in front of Fedex Employee at Fedex office, Mayapuri. Fedex is saying that shipper have mentioned value at shipment only 100$ and their liablity is only 100$ while I paid insurance amount for full price 1199$. These myUS guys should be avoided now. They are very fishy. Every time they have issue with high value items. When I asked to file claim , they wanted me to wait for 12 weeks for refund. Their insurance is a joke. See the label on the shipment. Carriage Value is 100$, Customs Value 1199$. I request you all guys to spread this all over. I will fight for my claim. I have already filed a report at ic3.gov , and bbb.org. Its better to avoid this company. Suite 569-559 — Case 00598468

Myus and Amex UK seem to have an arrangement, buy using your Amex card and the rest - delivery to UK - gets taken care of. So at least Amex accepts delivery to Myus in the States.
Still very wary of using them due to the single posters mentioned. I think they are genuine but incensed enough to go searching for forums to express their annoyance with. Myus needs to be sensitive to real issues. For one, I'd like the item to be held in escrow by Myus until a) I've seen a photo of the item and b) Shipping cost and US-outbound value/regulatory status is 100% confirmed.0 -
Search the Australian forums for reviews on reshippers.
I used Boxhop with great success for some months, then the service plummeted so I stopped using them, sadly that didn't stop them from taking money from the card I'd last used to pay them...
All these reshippers seem to sail close to the wind, I had to do a chargeback to get the money they stole from me back."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Just stumbled on this thread after needing to use a US to UK postage service. All those people posted in this thread with only 1 Post count is extremely suspicious. Seems like the accounts were created just to post in this thread. I would guess that some (or even all) of them were created by companies to influence users to or against some of the postage services mentioned.
Anyone reading might do well taking the 1 post count user's comments with a very sceptical view.0 -
I've decided to lock this thread to stop the 1 post spammers promoting it
