stopover in france

will be driving back from Spain late May with 3 children, 4,4, and 7. Is there anywhere interesting for an overnight stay on the way up through France, (probably about halfway?) that they will enjoy for a bit of a break, please?

Thank you

I usually stop in Tours but am usually on my own or with another adult so don't know how kids will enjoy it. Well they won't because it's a hella long drive you're subjecting them to.
  • We drive to Spain every year with our two, 11 and 6 now. We usually stop in a cheap hotel in Clermont Ferrand area as that is half way ish, however if you check booking.com you can check for stops along the way and there are usually campsites that might be good to let off steam.

We "subject" our kids to this every year and they enjoy the drive, we must be weird lol.
