Does anyone have a Toshiba 46TL968b HELP!!

Bought the Tv but due to the bad weather it isn't going to be delivered on the day it should have, and I have a guy coming to track the walls to put the TV on the chimney breast. The question: is the main lead with the plug on it unplug from the TV or is it attached to it permanently? If it can be unplugged I would buy a lead and let him put that in the wall for such times I get mine. Please help.

I would advise you not to chase a tv mains lead into the wall especially if it is not a plug in one.

Your best bet would be to have a mains socket fitted behind the tv or failing that a mains extension lead chased into the wall.

You would not believe the number of times I used to get calls to repair a tv and arrive to find that there was no way I could lift the tv off the wall to look at it.

If it is a fixed lead and the tv has to be removed from the wall then the two options would be.... chisel the plaster out to retrieve enough lead to work on the tv or cut the mains lead.

The problem with cutting the mains lead is that you have then voided the warranty.

Having said all that , the chances are that the mains lead will be removable, but I still wouldn't 'plaster it in'.

also as a thought as well most new tvs now come with moulded sealed plugs and other end just plugs into socket on tv and they usually limited length so you could be short for amount you want to bury in wall to get to socket as well.
goto to agree with keith above just fit power socket or 4 way on wall behind tv
(may want blu-ray/dvd or pvr later on!) between bracket can always use cable ties to hide power lead behind telly!
also regard your tv bracket make sure can swing off wall for access my father in law got a 42" samsung mounted on wall but wanted to stick a usb stick or sd card in and guess what all the sockets on the back with an inch to spare with it bolted to the wall and no pivot feature so basically no access to the sockets and all because he bought a cheap bracket clever boy!
some times cheap isnt also he didn't want leads hanging down either so decided not to use for photos or films on key which was point of him getting that telly in the first place! :rotfl:

just checked look at this you may have some issues look at connectors on back

you may want to check your bracket review was saying not ideal for wall mounting because of this.
has wireless in it i see but if putting cables in wall may want to stick in an ethernet in there whilst you at it because i don't know what you wireless strength is like.
also only got a 3.5 out of 5 overall review.
also as a side note hope you bought from john lewis as all there tvs come with a free 5 guarantee and is the same price as everyone else remember till they deliver you could still cancel there order and change it to lewis as a thought.
