hi, just to say congrats on moving to fife, I grew up there (in Falkland) and had a fantastic time (although as a moody teenager I didn't appreciate living "in the sticks...") the only thing I would say is your budget could dictate where you can live as there is quite a variation in prices (NE Fife being generally the most expensive) although its like everywhere, prices vary. maybe coming from down south things will seem cheaper. oh and remember the offers over system here when buying!
also its just my opinion but i think a car is practically a necessity in most of fife although glenrothes and kirkcaldy do have decent enough bus links to get by on.
i hope you really enjoy living in Fife!
