Salary Negotiation

If you are moving jobs maybe but still even a £500 increase is more than most would get in a year pay increase.
I apply (as I have no job) for jobs with no salary advertised but obviously the OP is in a job so can do what they like and turn jobs down. I know I aim too low and that's why I do not get most of the interviews I could get if they were more senior roles.
That is not enough to give up the security as these days - there is none for 2 years. If you price yourself low then that's what you will be offered.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0 -

As someone who has interviewed and 'negotiated' with candidates I wouldn't put too much thought into this (regardless of what people will tell you) from your side of the table.
I will pay little notice aside from a tertiary glance/listen at what your salary expectations are; I will place an offer based on your CV and interview(s) solely, expectations never come into it.
Like when buying a house, I am only willing to pay what you are worth, but getting you for the cheapest price is not something I want to do to risk losing you.
Good luck OP.I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -

The security of already being in a job especially if you have been there more than the two years.
I'm not bring funny, but you have your strategy and that is working for you, evidently, and that's great. But I have mine, and if you can't understand that, it's not really my problem.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0
