Guess what happened 2 days after our final offer was declined??
That's quite common. We had a call back from an agent that we walked away from a couple of weeks later to say they would accept. Unfortunately for them we had talked ourselves out of that house and were looking elsewhere.
Quite shocked at the London comments here. I bought roughly 40/50 miles away in a prime commuter area and its like a different world! Slow sales always below asking price in my experience! Very glad I don't live in London!0 -
yes.....offer accepted. We were both like "What", were they playing us. And perhaps yes they were. But as one reader wrote, its not our till the contract are signed etc.
So Mortgage and paper work given to broker.
Picked 3 Solicitors need to choose one.
Need to look at life insurance- home insurance.
And any advice that I can add to my to do list or be mindful of from those who have been through this?0 -
Get recomendations for a solicitor if you can, maybe from family or friends.
Insurance will likely be cheaper if you do it yourself instead of going through a broker, depends if you know enough about it and are willing to do the research. Home Insurance is very easy, life insurance takes a bit more research.0 -
Just read this thread start to finish and picked up some great information. Also Mrs Ted, brilliant that they came back, I reckon it's not the first place they have sold!0

Dear All
Thank you so much for all your advice etc. We moved in to our new home the start of August. Neighbours very nice. No issues with parking.
Still emptying boxes!
Happy to help anyone about housing.
