employer charging for contract phone.

can my employer charge me for a company mobile phone i.e. line rental or do they supply them as i have my own phone i have no need for a company phone but they are saying i need it to log in and out of my calls with in a domiciliary care environment?. (i can use my phone to log in to calls but... having problems with it…
