Ed Balls caught speeding

Are the mods on holiday? A long thread about IDS and two threads about George Osbourne on the benefits board! Well in the interests of political balance:

I don't see a problem. he got caught, admitted it, paid a fine (sorry course fees) and attended a course.
Bedroom Tax / Spare room subsidy / Housing Benefit Reduction - It's the same thing, get over it.

So it's OK for politicans to break the laws which they make, as long as they admit it?

No but when is it OK for any of us to break the law?

Being a politician shouldn't change what you think of what has happened. If you had a friend who did the same, would you think the same of them as you do Ed? If so, then that's fine, but if you think your friend better than Ed then you're an idiot.

At least he never tried to blame his wife for driving the car at the time.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

You might have to ask Chris Huhne about that one ;).
By trying to contest the case Huhne cost the taxpayer more than £100,000 in legal bills.

He was pretty unlucky to get caught for 56 in a 50, in the first place.

I got caught doing 57 in a 50 and had to do a driver awareness course. Fortunately my boss didnt deem it a sackable offence.
