Correspondence query - REALLY bugging me!

Hi,

I hope I'm posting this in the correct place.......it looked to be the most relevant forum from the choices available.

I'm currently composing a lengthy response to a letter I recently received and I want to advise the person that I am responding in the same sequence as their letter. Obviously, I could simply write "I will respond in the same sequence", or something similar, but I know that there is a word/statement for this.......I just can't for the life of me remember what it is! :(

Does anybody out there know what the word/statement I am thinking of is?........It's seriously bugging me :(

I look forward to receiving any helpful responses :)

Chronological order doesn't really fit, but maybe Addressing your points in order is appropriate.

Btw... not sure how you worked out that this is the best board for your query. ;)

and make it look as though a lawyer has written it? Is that really the impression you want to give despite it being the correct word? Seriously Wealdroam's sugegstion of "addressing your points in order" is much better but I'd probably use "sequence" rather than "order".

    Cheers

The more pompous it sounds, the better ;)

Under normal circumstances I would no doubt use wealdroam's suggestion, but the lengthy response I am currently composing is to be sent to the Courts. I have an ongoing complaint regarding the Court staff and how my case has been handled (I have not been naughty.......I am the Claimant :)); everytime I receive a response, as you would expect, it might as well say "we are always right and you are never right"! So, as I know that I am 100% correct in the matter and that the Courts are simply attempting to 'brush it under the carpet', I am not concerned about sounding pompous at all!

    Lol.......sorry for waffling on!

I am going through the same as you, I am/was a Claimant. The Courts complaints system is bogus. It's just there for show.

My local court issued court orders with the wrong dates on and even incomplete words and sentences, the court did not keep to the Civil Procedures Rules. They first said, "We don't make mistakes", but when I pointed them out, they said, "Oh, yes, but they're only minor mistakes, and any failures to follow the CPRs are judicial decisions that we cannot comment upon" I suspect that is the response you will get.

My complaint has now gone through HMCTS complaints procedure and (surprise, surprise) they can't see that their colleagues have made any mistakes, either.

The Attorney General has told my MP that I can refer the clear indisputable evidence of perverting the course of Justice, back to the court, which I have done, twice, in fact, but the court ignore it.

My MP has referred it to the Parliamentary Ombudsman to see why the court do not want to follow the CPRs and investigate the criminal offences committed in their court. (They could ask Chris Huhne's legal team for advice, I suppose !)

Don't expect any assistance from David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Eric Pickles etc. I've tried and they all say "It's nothing to do with me !" I've even tried to get Nick to answer my questions on "Call Clegg" on LBC radio, but his advisers (wisely) have ignored my questions. (Could be awkward for him )

Get used to the phrase "We cannot comment on Judicial Decisions". It's one you're going to hear a lot.

Isn't it great to live in a country where the rule of Law is respected !
