Made a stupid mistake with my Balance Transfers

Hello,
I am looking for some advice to try and rectify a dumb mistake I made last week. I transferred a balance from Halifax to a new 0% MBNA card. But in my dumbness  I did it twice a couple of days apart so I now have around £6k on MBNA (instead of £3k and I am in credit with Halifax by about £3k.

I've looked everywhere and you don't seem to be able to pay one credit card off with another. I have a couple of other cards I could happily make inroads into but they only accept payment by debit card.

Aside from using the card for the next few months to do all my monthly spending, does anyone know if there is a way I can rectify my mistake? Halifax haven't been very helpful so far.

Thanks for reading and for any help you can offer.
Sx

You need to approach it from the MBNA end, rather than HBoS. See if they will return the excess to you either directly or to the card, and if they'll charge a fee for doing so.

So you are in credit on you Halifax CC?
When I do a balance transfer I normally do it for a rounded sum over the balance owed from the other CC and then ask them for a cheque for the remaining balance in credit.

Thanks :) - I will try that first as then I can pay it back into my account and then back out again onto the MBNA.
    What a palaver!
