British Gas Homecare Power Flush
Comments

If you're under a BG Homecare plan then the power flush is guaranteed for the duration of you being a customer. It will include any new pipefitting work that's required and any future flushes that are required.
We're all of course free to take our business to anyone we like. I for one like my service contract.0 -
The reason for the price is because it includes 8 hours labour, and they do spend the entire day flushing the system. It does carry a lifetime guarantee for as long as you continue your homecare contract. All upgrade engineers are required to test the water with a turbidity tube before continuing with the flush, possibly the Fernox test too, not too sure. Hope that helped.0

British Gas Boiler Cover, boiler stops working...come out..cant repair as it needs a Power Flush. Cover cancelled. Rang up for a 1-off repair, the same...YES...the SAME engineer came out, fixed it without a Power Flush..

Will bg really repair a ten year old boiler or say it's beyond economic repair? We carry out power flushes for much less . However you can clean the system yourself, ( though bg probably won't accept this) for anyone interested in doing it themselves, this YouTube vid shows a way to do it: Check out this video on YouTube:

Had a new boiler installed recently. Had power flush the day before, of around 14 radiators. Plumber spent from 11-5 pm doing it. Cost £400.000

We put a boiler in for a old lady and she said she had British Gas do a powerflush not ones but twice under her contract but had charged her about £800 I think it was the dirtiest system I have ever had the pleasure of cleaning I actually lost money as she said it was clean and I believed her she had bit paper to say so we cleaned and cleaned then gave up put more cleaner in left the Magnacleanse in situ for 3 days .
But the problem with the maintenance contract they never put inhibitor in so come out wave the magic wand {Gas Analyser } give it a polish collect £250 year and your system Rots with rust dose British Gas actualy know what inhibitor is or if they give it them maybe they collect in van then sell on Ebay later but fact is they dont put it in system unless its a new boiler fit .
Get some one else to clean it ,google or ask around for a good plumber , but fit the magnaclean .
You can tell I aint no fan of British Gas contracts OK if you have a rubish boiler but in my books buy a new Baxi duotec £800 7 year guarantee or other make so BG 7 year £250 year is £1750
Dont buy a new boiler if its not broken just think about it if its a non condensing or worse still a old style gas guzzler then think hard0 -
Power Flush can really solve the problems of a blocked system, a noisy boiler, and cold radiators, while making your central heating system more efficient. I would reccomend it! Shop around for price though.0
