Hey. I currently have a Dell Inspiron 1501. I am not sure what battery it currently has but I was hoping to get a large one for under £50. It currently stays charged for about 1 1/2 hours. Any help would be much appreciated.

You may struggle for something under £50 from a retailer, going rate is £70-£80.
You could always take your chance with ebay, a quick search popped this one up for £29 + delivery

I bought a battery for an old Compaq Armada E500 for £30 off ebay and it's been fine. Much better than no battery at all. However not sure how much more than the 90 mins you already have it will give you?0 -
OK, thanks. Any idea if I could charge my laptop on a plane?0

Depends on what class you are flying in. For example on Virgin, Upper Class and Premium Economy have laptop power, but Economy does not.
