Eat some humble pie

Word of caution though, you may be brought up for a disciplinary depending on what was said, and/or you may need to raise a grievance. If I were in your shoes, I would try to keep a very low profile and keep my wits about me.

Yes, it might happen. But frankly an employer raising a disciplinary after having reinstated someone for harsh words in an exit interview is going to look very ridiculous. I think the valid defence is that it was an exit interviewand there should be no disciplinary for the sake of the integrity of the exit interview process...... Word of caution though, you may be brought up for a disciplinary depending on what was said, and/or you may need to raise a grievance. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
It does sound to me like whatever you said in your exit interview put them off giving you the new job.......0

Not true. The reason I'm being blocked from moving is because my old boss doesn't want me to take business away and says they do not want to lose me.I have already had text, emails saying as much and the area manager calling and my old boss all asking me to go back saying they will disregard my notice.
He is protecting his business ..simple..0 -
And harsh words as in..I can no longer work for you,I thought you handled x badly and I objected to you speaking to me like y,I cannot wait to leave,I've hated this year etc
Not a shove it up your !!! kind of harsh.0 -

As I see it that's surely to your advantage. If he didnt rate you he would have been happy to see you go. He's gone to some effort to make you stay and you have the opportunity to reluctantly agree provided any specific issues you have are resolved.0 -

This is why you should never burn your bridges with current bosses. By all means, say you have concerns with x, y and z but never ever tell the boss some home truths [esp when you are staying in the same business].Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0 -
Slightly surprised the main focus of replies is my exit interview rather than the breach of contract, withdrawal of offer via TEXT message etc....
I acted in good faith and with reassurance from far senior managers that the offer was concrete.Only for them to admit this afternoon that they did not follow correct procedure. It stinks.0 -
Do you want a job or do you want a massive battle/potential payoff because I'd be surprised of you could have both? A job makes more sense to me being as your wife's pregnant.
If you had a new job to go to elsewhere then I suspect replies may be slightly skewed differently. It isn't fair that your offer got withdrawn but are you prepared to be out of a job completely with possibly a bad or no reference?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. The main focus is your exit interview as you were still employed and voiced some concerns, leaving a possible disciplinary/grievance compliant hanging. As for breach of contract - where? It seems you would be moving over on a TUPE agreement and until new contracts were signed by both parties, there is no breach.
You now are saying they never followed correct procedures - again, tread carefully on how you proceed with your next few weeks, it could be invaluable or damaging.
