Travelodge is showing £30 for their non-cancellable saver rate for that date, or £35 for the flexible rate. That price doesn't include breakfast, which is £6.65 if you order online when you book, or £1 extra on the day.

I will be attending a conference 5 minutes from their train station so i need a B&B or budget hotel around that place.

Most years I spend a couple of nights in Gloucester and now always stay at this B&B:

Lovely people; great breakfast; within flat walking distance of rail station (and for my purpose, the Record Office); offer single person rate.

I've also stayed at the Edward Hotel. OK but Mulberry is nicer and cheaper.

I've considered the Station Hotel. Think it was cheap but the reviews were poor - especially re noise.
