Hi Tealady, thanks for getting us started :T
Our planning went a bit to pot towards the end of this week as the kids and Mr PP have had a horrid virus and nobody really felt like eating so there was lots of toast and soup eaten but not much else. Hopefully we can get back to a bit of routine this week.
Sat sweet and sour chicken and rice
Sun roast chicken, veg, roasties, stuffing and gravy
Mon thai red curry, rice and naan bread
Tue Spag bol and garlic bread
Wed out at friend's house for dinner
Thurs Spaghetti carbonara
Fri Pizza, salad and wedges
The freezer is still well stocked with cake, bread rolls and soup so that should last the rest of the holidays.
Have a good week everyone

Tuesday - meat pasty, chips and baked beans
Wednesday - Thai chicken curry with rice and some sort of veg
Thursday - tuna pasta bake - my favourite one with pesto and cherry tomatoes
It's not wildly inventive but it will do!Back after a very long break!0 -

Purple = Freezer
Mon 8th - [STRIKE]Moroccan Quorn meatballs[/STRIKE]/fresh meatballs made with mince with moroccan couscous and [STRIKE]roasted courgette.[/STRIKE]
... with spaghetti as cooked too much for DD.
Tues 9th ~ Smoky rib sauce with Quorn beef strips, wedges or pasta.
I succumbed to a [STRIKE]chip Naan[/STRIKE], so the above didn't go ahead
[STRIKE]Broccoli and macaroni cheese[/STRIKE] cooked and half put in freezer
Weds 10th ~ see below
Thurs 11th ~ [STRIKE]Jamaican chicken and sweet potato chips and green beans[/STRIKE]
Now having [STRIKE]Chicken and tarragon one pot[/STRIKE]
Fri 12th ~ Thai fishcakes mix ... not sure what with?
This will stay in freezer and will now change to [STRIKE]Thai mushroom curry and rice[/STRIKE] ( as still loads of mushrooms to use up and don't want them going sludgy _pale_)
Sat 13th ~ Lemon chicken and egg fried rice (will now yet again move forward to another week)
Now, [STRIKE]Beef strips in Smoky rib sauce[/STRIKE] with wedges, peas and corn (discovered Beef in freezer i thought was mince when inventory done, but is not. I would have used Quorn but think it will work better this way)
Sun 14th ~ Quorn roast, with veg and trimmings. DD now having this tonight and using leftovers for dinners
Now, Creamy garlic chicken lasagne
EDIT : Seemed to have skipped a day somewhere , and finished the week on Saturday's meal, leaving Sunday's for another week ( yet again)!GC 2026 ~ Jan £213.45/180 Feb £180.21/£120 Mar £135.36/£150 April £/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Two person vegan household, with occasional visitors)Join me on the meal plan thread : https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6356309/could-we-start-a-meal-plan-thread-again-so-its-not-lost-in-the-gc/p1Forever learning the art of frugality0 -
