Dads pc is dead. Half the files are corrupted, booted from recovery cd (didnt get an xp disc with comp) and it cant recover half the files. the mouse wont work either. tried to format with recovery cd, dont know what else to do without an xp disc. at the minute it boots up until just after windows start screen but the mouse wont work to click on anything, and even if it did i know it still wont work right as it couldnt recover half the files. help!
edit-its not not mouse thats the problem as i tried 2, its something to do with the comp.

i'm confused, have you reformatted/reinstalled/used a recovery partition or not? Half the files are corrupted?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
