Cheap but good seed compost?

I'm running late due to holidays then snow, but I'm about to get into sowing some seeds. Any suggestions for good value seed compost - I had the stuff from Wilkinsons last year but wasn't impressed by the quality - too many big lumps of goodness knows what.
Don't mind paying a bit more for decent stuff, but within that, the cheaper the better.

The cheap Aldi stuff isn't too bad this year... Aldi seed & cutting compost. It's good and fine, crumbly. £1.49 for 20 litres, I think.

I had a bag of Verve (B&Q I think that is), and it is chunky and mossy... not so good for seedlings I'd say.

Yes the Aldi seed compost looks good and is fine, I also bought a garden riddle from them which has three different size screens and is ideal for breaking any lumpy compost up and separating larger particles out.

None in aldi and no idea when/if they're getting any, which is a shame.
Lidl have some though, anyone tried it?

If you mean seed compost, as opposed to multipurpose, I'd suggest you take a deep breath then spend a little extra to buy some John Innes seed compost. Much of the cheap stuff, as you say, is lumpy and really not suitable for sowing fine seeds in.

I've some left from last year and can't recommend it, full of twigs and lumps.
It's also very dense, the water sits on top and takes ages to work through a seed tray.
