Hi guys, just needing some advice I am off travelling in July and to be on the safe side I want to get a credit card for emergencies only. What do people recommend is the best one the only issue I have is that my credit rating is probably non existent I've only ever had my phone contract direct debit. Thank you

Most people would recommend in this case the Halifax Clarity or another card from the top picks - I assume you've looked at these on the travel section of this website. However if you are worried about your credit score, then you could look at the Aqua Advance card. (Unfortunately they seem to have pulled their Reward card.) I can't post a link as a newcomer to the site but google Aqua Advance Card and you'll find it.
This has 0% sterling transaction fee, which means buying goods from a shop or website is converted at the Mastercard rate (the best you can get).
If you want cash from an ATM however there is a 3% fee, minimum £3, so this card is not the best for that. Have a look at the website and see what you think.
edit: the APR on this card is hideous, which will further increase the cost of getting cash out. Also, you need to pay in full every month to avoid the interest.0
