I'm running the marathon Sunday and thus am in Blackpool for the day on Saturday.
Any suggestions what to see, where to drink, what to do?
Is the Pleasure beach any good?
Thanks!

1) The Great Chilli Festival, this will be held in St John's Square in the town centre this Saturday
2) Go have a look at the Comedy Carpet on the Prom opposite the Tower.
Drinking
For a bit of a laugh, some bad karaoke and people watching, go for a drink in Ma Kelly's.
The Layton Rakes Wetherspoons is ok and also located in the town centre.
If cocktails are more your style there is a Revolution Cocktail bar just down the road from the Layton Rakes.0 -

Awesome. Hopefully I can find some real life "5 alarm" chilli (vague ancient Simpsons reference....)
Are there any half decent rock/metal venues?0 -
On Birley St above the Rose & Crown Pub, you will find The Tache.
I would also recommend the Blue Room Pub as well, it is on Church st and just a short walk from the Town Centre.0
