Tom Tom on N95...help please...

Hi just wondered if anyone can help? I have just bought an N95 phone and have loaded TOM TOM on the memeory card. When I go into the memory it shows that the programme is loaded but I can't actually get into it.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I also cannot get a TOMTOM icon on the menu screen...please please help! I would be eternally grateful! :beer:

I am not sure if this will help you, but when I installed TomTom 5 on my N90 a few years ago, when I plugged the memory card in to my phone, it automatically ran some installer programs to make the phone aware of the applications on the memory card. I don't see why that wouldn't happen on the N95 too - i.e. the N95 should also auto install. Clearly it is not though, so, you may want to use the file explorer to look for .CAB files in the top directory of the memory card, which would install the application. At a guess you would find one that is named something like setup.CAB or install.CAB.

What Version of TT you using, and I am assuming you'll be connecting to an external Bluetooth GPS device?

Hope you're using TTM6, as TTM5 won't work on the N95.

AFAIK Tom Tom won't yet run on the N95's internal GPS, so unless you are using an external GPS device, you will be wasting your time.

Tom Tom are currently working on a patch for this to enable the sw to work with N95's GPS.

Thanks everyone for your help. It turns out I was using TOMTOM 5, hence it wasn't working! D'oh!

I have been trying to figure it out for a while now, so thanks alot for saving my sanity!
