Galaxy S £69.00 Tesco, but is it a phone or 'tablet'?

The CS staff seemed sure it was not a phone, but a tablet/ipad type device...

Does anyone know? My oldest son has an old Galaxy, which I'm sure he said was a Galaxy S, and I was going to buy the Tesco one for his younger brother, but if the CS is right, I didn want to waste my money.

The naming is confusing but I'm pretty sure the one you're referring to is an Ipod Touch style device in that it has wifi connectivity but doesn't offer voice calling or mobile data. It's either this or the 5in one I think is on sale at Tescos:
