Indiscriminate wholesale cuts aren't currently planned.
Except for the exceptional 100,000 rents the other cuts are very modest.
To make any meaningful inroads into the welfare system something more draconian is required rather than making mileage from the few high profile cases for political posturing."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

The currents cuts have nothing to do with the high profile cases

Certain politicians are trying to meld the arguments to further pursue the agenda."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Now that about 50% of employed people must be dependent on government spending for their jobs, I cannot see a way of cutting government spending in a democracy.

There is, I believe, a genetic issue with these people....
The country should not be paying for those with this defect to breed and pull back the advancement of the state.

Paying benefits breeders to be chemically castrated would make financial sense though.

Typical leftie response. And it's not trolling. For too long sensible thought has been thought policed and bullied down. Frankly, the grafters (working classes massively included here) have had enough. We need to redress the balance so the productive, hard working people of this great country are encouraged to thrive, instead of making excuses for the bone idle, can work, won't work classes.
Great article by the telegraph indicating the countries woes. It's attitude that's the problem, as well as supporting those that deserve no support.
