Sudden huge bill for "Stuff I used but didn't pay for"
I have recived a hug bill today.. £700.. I pay my gas and electric every quarter, as it comes I pay for what I use (apparently)
a few days ago my electric bill came, £11.. I didn't think this was correct so decided to call when I get 5. Today this huge bill comes for gas and electric for the last 15months. I call the supplier (after being a little bit sick) and asked them to talk me through it. After his initial confusion all I got was 'it is correct, you have had estimated bills and this is what your payments haven't covered'
Now the bill tells me what I have used (E) despite the fact my meters were read and they have just admitted that they were read and the reading were never used. So they must have them against my account somewhere but for whatever reason haven't used them??
The small electric I got a few days ago includes all this period and has 'cancelled charges' of over £350 (starting with an A reading in Nov 11 and ending with an A reading this Feb the rest were E) the larger bill now says I owe this.
I'm confused, the billing period doesn't include any payments that I have made over this time scale. I have requested copies of all my previous bills.. just includes a lot of 'cancelled charges'

You will have to pay for what you have used.
Of course, any payments already made for the estimated bills will need to be deducted from the amount owed.0 -

They haven't shown this anywhere though? surely if they are billing me it should include payments I have already made and bills that were already produced? this just looks like they have thrown some numbers together and when I question it, they can't seem to be able to explain it to me0 -
I have my gas bill from Aug which actually gives an A reading, this is not reflected in the larger bill and an E reading is given, 320 higher than the A reading..0
