Floors2Go rant

Posting this on behalf of my dad as he doesn't have an account. Open letter to Floors2Go in Hedge End, Southampton:

Dear Floors2Go (what a misnomer!!),

Just over 3 weeks ago I ordered about 37 metres of flooring from you after some very adept pre sales service and negotiation from your sales team in Southampton. That, I’m afraid, is where your
good service started and finished.

I placed the deposit and specified the date by which the goods were required. I was promised that the goods would be ready for my fitter to collect the weekend of the fitting (Easter Bank Holiday).

15 of the boxes came in a week early but again I was assured that the remaining 3 boxes would be delivered to my house before the weekend. My fitter collected the 15 and your staff forgot to give
him the cornice and glue , so that needed another trip and on the subsequent collection they didn’t give him the roses for the radiators – which I had to collect…but to be honest if this was the extent of the problem I wouldn’t be writing in.

I phoned your Southampton office roughly 6 or 7 times leading up to the fitting date and was assured that the goods would arrive but of course they didn’t and my fitter had to start the job on the
weekend and of course couldn’t finish.

A subsequent call to Michael in Southampton and Tracey revealed that he had 1 box in stock but the two would be delivered on the Tuesday after the bank holiday. I obviously didn’t trust this information and called again on the Tuesday and spoke to Desilva? And was guaranteed (I repeat, guaranteed) that the goods would be with me by close of play on Wednesday. I had already stated to Tracey that I would be looking for your business to compensate me for the extra fitting time caused by your inability to delivery on time.

Guess what, no goods. So today (Wednesday) I have been on the phone again to your store and was kindly informed that actually, the goods are out of stock at your supplier as well and there’s at least a 2 weeks lead time!!.

So, I have been lied to as well as dealt with poorly, and I’ll also be out of pocket because of your firm’s incompetence. I have also wasted an inordinate amount of time (and my wife has stayed in
waiting for deliveries that never transpired) all because your companies communication is dreadful (or is it because you have my cash now you really don’t give a damn?).

Unfortunately for you I do not take to being treated like this very well and I will use every means at my disposal to address the situation. I want the balance of my order delivered to me before the weekend and I will also be seeking my fitters extra cost £ 200+vat) for his time spent over and above for the additional day and travelling time.

By the way I have called your customer services an hour ago, and just like the most of my calls to your firm – they have not returned the call.

Glen Jewell.
