Returned Direct Debit

Hi all,
Do you know if Barclay's report a returned direct debit to your credit file? I just had one returned due to my DD setting on my credit card being set to full rather than minimum. Stupid thing is I had paid the full balance a week before but due to the DD setting they then tried to take the full amount again but this time via DD. I don't have overdrafts so they bounced it, just wondering if it will get reported.

No, bounced DDs are not reported by banks.Agreed repayments are one to two months behind.
Your overdraft balance has been greater than your overdraft limit for one to two months.
Cheques, direct debits and standing orders may have been bounced to keep the account in order.0 -
I stand corrected ...0

So I guess my question would be, is it only HSBC and FD that report that or do other banks as well?
Looking at my credit report there is an account for Barclays so I guess if they do report it will show.
I could understand if I had actually gone over or if a payment had been missed but nothing was and there was more than enough money in my savings account to cover it.0 -

You should have moved it then rather than expecting the bank to do it for you. Most if not all won't.urs sinserly,
